Om jambala jalandraye svaha
I made this stencil with my friend A. The words are a Tibetan Buddhist mantra (see #3) that bring good luck and wealth to those who repeat them. The animal is not a cat, but a mongoose; it's supposed to be 'puking treasures'.
We painted it on the old Buddhist temple at Howard Park and Dundas West, now the studio of Daniel Lanois. It has since been buffed.
