The Wall

In the beginning there were walls and He did say "cover them with
marks and writing", for he did not like brickwork. Now, it was a mystery
as to why He did not like brickwork, as it was attractive and pleasant
to the eye. But he was old and wise (and a bit grumpy), so the
artists and vandals did not seek to argue. And, lo, in time the walls were
covered and He did look and He did say, "it is good, well some of
it anyway". And the artists and vandals were happy and some of them
did further improve their practice.

Something changed in the world and dereliction
demanded a response.
